Issues

Yes, I have issues. What a shocker, right?! My issue (among many others) has to do with paint colors. I know you can always paint over something (that is the brilliance behind it) however it is such a big decision since painting costs money, takes time and sets the tone (and possible color scheme) for your space.

Our new house has some….interesting (?)…colors going on.

The living room isn’t too bad, but still not great.

And the downstairs. Oh…that RED basement. Almost makes you blind.

So, using the logical method, process of elimination, I picked some colors. Then my step-mama gave her usual “What the hell are you thinking?” look…and I changed those colors.

She was right! I held up one of the paint chips I originally chose and it almost matched the already disgusting color on the wall. See. I have issues with color. The original plan was to go a bit softer in the living room, but I am going bold baby! Hang on to your hat!

Living Room

Color: Ethereal Mood

Living Room- Accent Color (I am doing only one wall this color)

Color: Riverway

Trim

Color: Creamy

Note: This white is the same color I painted my table and chairs. I love it because, although it looks super off-white above, it is white-white, but a very soft hue.

Master Bedroom

Color: Silvermist

Doesn’t this color make you feel so relaxed? Perfect for the master!

Downstairs/Man Room

Color: Sandy Ridge

I think this color may be a bit dark for a basement…but, the man chose it & who am I to rain on his parade?
(I am excited to see if I am right though. Shhhh).

These are all paints from the HGTV line at Sherwin-Williams. I love SW! Holla! Everyone there is super duper helpful & you don’t have to walk through a huge store to reach the paint department. I find that super irritating. Plus you can usually get a $10 coupon (go to their website and sign up on their email list to get this) and/or they usually have awesome sales, even up to 40% off all paint! That is the sale I waited for. (No, Sherwin Williams is not a sponsor of mine…but don’t you think they should be?!)

Wish me luck. Painting walls is definitely not my forte (give me a can of spray paint though & you’ll be glad you did!)

Love ya lots & thanks for reading!
